Being part of the community means more than serving great drinks. Maddie's is proud to support causes that matter.

In 2025, Maddie donated £1,500 to Genie's Wish, a charity that grants life-changing wishes to children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions across the UK. A cause close to our hearts, and one we hope to continue supporting as we grow.

We also donated £416.70 to Stop Domestic Abuse, a Portsmouth-based charity providing vital support and refuge to those affected by domestic violence in our local community. As a Portsmouth business, supporting local organisations doing essential work is something we feel strongly about.

Our Farmer

Every cup of matcha you drink at Maddie's starts with a relationship, not a supplier catalogue.

Our ceremonial grade matcha comes from a tea farm in Wazuka, Japan - a small, renowned tea-growing village in Kyoto Prefecture, celebrated for producing some of the finest matcha in the world. We haven't just sourced from them; we've invested in them. That investment secures our supply of first-harvest Okumidori matcha, stone-milled in the traditional way, and helps support the farmers and their land for years to come.

This is what thoughtful sourcing actually looks like. Not just ticking an ethical box, but building a real relationship with the people who grow what we serve.
